This travel guide series focuses on Bigfoot hot spots, areas with the most reported Bigfoot sightings. Each book explores a different U.S. state (the top three, which include Washington, California, and Illinois), giving tips on how to conduct a search, campgrounds in the area, and a page for the reader to take down field notes. Two key elements throughout the series are nightvision and a feeling of mystery. Images used have an eerie feel, some containing a silhouette of a Bigfoot figure, to communicate his “elusiveness.” Icons provide a simple guide to the contents of the page. Green, blue, and purple are used to relate to the outdoors; each book has a predominant color, while still incorporating the other colors to relate the set as a whole. Typefaces used are Orator Std Medium and Agency FB, which resemble that used by nightvision equipment. The paperstock is Avon Classic Crest Stipple, Avalanche White, 80lb text because the texture gives an outdoor feel. It is stitch-bound to make it personal, the color of the thread corresponds to the color of each book. The format (4x6) makes the set handy and convenient to carry for reference on a Bigfoot search.
